I’m Jakub Kanna (formerly Jakub Trzciński), a Polish interdisciplinary artist and designer born in 1996 in Mrągowo. My early years were shaped by intensive sports education, a discipline that later evolved into an artistic practice grounded in endurance, experimentation, and the experience of risk.
I studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague in 2022. I hold a BA in Graphic Design, a BA in Printmaking, and an MA in Intermedia from the University of the Arts in Poznań. In 2024, I completed a full-stack developer course at TOP, expanding my practice into the intersections of art, technology, and hybrid media.
My most notable projects include Velo-art and Fight or Flight, which explore relationships between culture, the human FFF response, and symbolic abstraction.
My works have been presented, among others, at WRO Art Center, the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw, the Polish Dance Theatre, and on newscenario.net. I have taken part in residencies and workshops at the Centre of Polish Sculpture in Orońsko and the W788 Foundation, and my work has also been published in Adres Prywatny by MSN and in Czas Kultury.
