Description
After diving into the new scroll-based GTA VI website, I couldn’t resist the urge to build something similar—but with a simpler, more focused technical approach. Instead of going the Next.js route (which felt like overkill for this), I went with a clean combination of React.js and vanilla JavaScript.
On the visual side, this turned out to be pretty challenging. I was aiming for something simple, meaningful, and visually satisfying—but getting there wasn’t easy. After spending hours experimenting with fluid simulations in Blender (with only moderate success), a strange bug hit during testing: JPEG to WebP conversion failed. Oddly enough, combined with a bit of final polish, this glitch led to exactly the look I was searching for ✌️
